I recently got a new fragrance and it’s one of the newer scents that’s been released in recent times.
This is Yves Saint Laurent Myslf EDP.
It’s an intriguing release from YSL, but how does it smell? Here’s everything you need to know.
I got this scent for Christmas just gone, and it’s a 2023 release from Yves Saint Laurent so pretty new.
I did not get a chance to try this fragrance since it was a gift, but of course it was assumed that it smelled good.
And it does.
What Does Yves Saint Laurent Myslf Smell Like?
As soon as I smell this I am hit with a fresh-spicy and slightly citrus burst of scent which immediately reminds me of some other top scents.
Myslf features notes of Calabrian Bergamot, Tunisian Orange Blossom, Ambrofix and Patchouli, and as soon as I smelled this I thought of another scent…Dior Sauvage EDT.
Checking out the notes, you can see why. Both have bergamot and patchouli, with Myself having Ambrofix at the base and Sauvage using the similar Ambroxin.
This is the strong note which I get from both, giving them that similarity.
I find Myslf a really nice and pleasant smell. I think that it’s a compliment getter, which is no surprise since I think it’s close to Sauvage.
I guess many will call this a blue fragrance, and I think it’s in the ball park of Bleu De Chanel, Prada Luna Rossa Ocean and the afomentioned Sauvage EDT.
So it’s beautiful, elegant and is going to be such an easy reach when you just want to smell good.
It’s universal and I think almost everyone will like it which could be a bad thing if you’re looking for something totally unique. But Myself has a great smell, and it’s inoffensive.

How Long Does Yves Saint Laurent Myslf Last?
Yves Saint Laurent is an EDP and so should last quite a while. I was able to get 7-8 hours of use of this, while still being able to smell it.
How Strong Is Yves Saint Laurent Myslf ?
Myself is a fairly strong fragrance, and you’d expect it to be since it’s an eau de parfum. You’ll smell it on yourself, and others around you will too.
How Many Sprays Do You Need?
I don’t feel like you need many sprays of Myself for it to work it’s magic. A simple 3 sprays on the neck, 1 or 2 on the chest and on the wrists if you like that and you’re set.

Yves Saint Laurent Myslf Fragrance Bottle
The YSL Myslf bottle comes in 40ml, 60ml and 100ml sizes, and I have got a 60ml bottle. I feel this is a good size to own, and this should last me a long time.
The bottle design is really nice. A tall sleek black translucent bottle has the YSL logo embossed and is really clean. It has the eau de parfum branding under it, but the MYSLF wording is nowhere to be seen.
The atomiser is good and gives off a nice wide spray.
What Clothes To Wear With Myslf
It feels like Myslf is a sophisticated type of scent, so you should match your clothing to it too. A smart or smart casual dress code would work best with this scent.
Think of a suit, clean white shirt, smart casualwear such as plain t-shirts, dark denim jeans and smart footwear.
When To Wear Yves Saint Laurent Myslf
When it comes to when should you wear Myslf, it’s universal. This can work in all seasons, and can be worn during the day or evening. Personally I would leave this one for a night, as I have better choices for through the day.
Who Is Myslf For?
When it comes to picking out who this is for, I would suggest that this is fairly youthful, but it would suit men aged 18-50 best. It feels too mature for teens, and as for older gents, it can still work well, but there’s others which would be better.
Where To Buy
You can buy Yves Saint Laurent at all the usual perfume and fragrance shops. Currently you’ll spend around £55 – £95 on a bottle, depending on the size and where you shop.

Longevity – Yves Saint Laurent Myslf is an EDP, and the longevity is good. I can get 7-8 hours wearing this.
Projection – The projection is fairly good, and those around can smell it without it being over bearing.

Verdict
Yves Saint Laurent Myslf is a good fragrance that is mass appealing and smells really nice. It’s inviting, will get compliments and is an easy reach if you’re looking for an aftershave that just smells good.
It’s definitely worth trying out if not buying.
If you already own scents like Prada Luna Rossa Ocean and Dior Sauvage EDT I’m sure you’ll like this. Conversely if you don’t, then there’s a good chance you wont.
You’ll also have to consider whether you want a similar scent to those, if you already own them.
