The Bold Type Season 2

I finally watched season 2 of one of my new favourite TV shows, The Bold Type! It’s on Amazon in the UK, and I came across it last year and thought season 1 was brilliant, so I was happy when a second season was announced, and it was released in the Summer. The World Cup was on, so I was all focused on that, but I finally sat down and watched season 2, and it was just as good as the first.

If you haven’t seen it, it’s basically about 3 girls who are best friends and all worked at the same fashion magazine; There’s the aspiring fashion stylist Sutton, the head of social media and new-lesbian Kat, and Jane, who’s the writer and kind of lead character.

In the first season Jane got her dream job as a writer, then at the end of the season she left for a better role at a new magazine. Sutton has an on-off relationship with Richard, who’s a lot older than her, and also an attorney at the magazine and a board member. Kat is discovering herself sexually, and at the end of the last season went travelling with her girlfriend Adena.

I don’t want to write spoilers or give anything away about what happens in the season, just incase you haven’t seen it yet…But it’s good as always.

I can honestly say the second season was brilliant, and more of the same – So if you enjoyed the first season, you’ll definitely like this. If you haven’t seen it, you can watch both of the seasons on Amazon Prime in the UK, you’ll be glad you did.

If you like coming of ages TV shows with a bit of drama and humour thrown in then this could be something you like. I love shows like this, whether it’s TV or film, I love this kind of show. It’s things like this, Ballers, Entourage, Franklin & Bash and Girls, they’re all kind of the same genre of show – So if you like any of those mentioned, there’s a chance you’ll like this.

It’s also based around fashion, so is something which I am interested in anyway.
