As you’ll know if you’re into style and fashion, or you just read this blog, 90’s style trends have made a come back in recent years. Of course you know I like them, and I’ve featured them so comprehensively here for the past few years. We’ve seen the heavy hitters such as Kappa, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein, but one name has been missing. Until now.
Ralph Lauren has launched two limited edition capsule collections from the Polo Sport line, steeped in 90’s nostalgic goodness. These two collections are named the denim collection, and the silver collection.
However these do come at a cost, which I will get into below.
The Silver Collection features that memorable metallic silver colour on everything in this mini collection. included in this collection is the lightweight jacket which is body length, hood with draw cords and an authentic reproduction of the same jacket which you’ll remember from the 90’s. This will set you back £435.
Other pieces include the matching metallic trousers, which have the polo sport taping down the sides, and come in at £175 and are also available in navy. You can pick up a windbreaker with block colour pattern for £299 and hats and a vest is also available.
When it comes to the denim collection, there’s a denim jacket with the trademark Polo Sport logo on the reverse which comprises of an American flag and the Polo Sport wording, this comes in at £259.
If you’re up for double denim like a true 90’s throwback, there’s a pair of utility denim jeans on offer too, which you can pick up for £149. These are a wide leg jean, great if you’re going for that 90’s denim look.
There are also a few denim caps and hats on offer too.
All of these pieces are limited edition, and available now online at Ralph Lauren here, as well as other retailers who stock the brand, such as END, Flannels and Selfridges.

I think that they have missed out a little bit. When I think of Polo Sport I think of that logo on a T-shirt or sweatshirt, in fact I’m pretty sure I owned a sweatshirt from back in the day. Hopefully they will bring back the tee and sweatshirt, and of course you’ll know I’ll be covering it here at Michael 84 if they do 🙂
