It’s been a long time coming, but I finally got a Patagonia T Shirt. I got one from their infamous collection, the Patagonia P-6 Logo Responsibili-Tee.
They’re a brand with a good reputation, but how does this t-shirt stack up to the rest?
Here’s what you need to know and how I wore this T Shirt.
T Shirts are quite basic items, so it’s hard to judge a brand on a t-shirt alone. If you didn’t know, Patagonia is a premium streetwear type of brand with it’s core message being sustainability.
They actually preach don’t buy their clothes unless you need them. Since It’s summertime and I am in need of a few new t-shirts, I decided to take the jump and get one of theirs.
I got a P-6 Logo Responsibili-Tee in grey.
The Fit
The T Shirt comes in a regular fit, and it fits well. It’s not oversized or super baggy, but it’s not slim or skinny either, it just fits well. Regular tees always have a little room in them, as does this one, which is exactly how I expected it to fit.
The Quality
The cotton is very soft, and is a midweight type of fabric. It has side seems which give it a better fit, and a nice neckline which feels like good quality.
The neckline doesn’t have a tag, the information instead is printed, which includes all the details including what the t-shirt is made from.
It’s made in Mexico from 50% recycled cotton and 50% recycled polyester. A 50/50 T Shirt usually has a soft premium feel which as already mentioned this does. Sometimes the drawback of a 50/50 can be when you wash it, so that’s something I’ll have to keep an eye on.
The Design
When it comes to the design, the front is very simple. It has the Patagonia wording to the front breast in the small font style. The back is where the design is at.
It has the now traditional Patagonia logo which is a stylised version of the mountain Monte Fitz Roy in blue, purple, red and black, along with the Patagonia wording.
Outfit
Putting together an outfit using the Patagonia P-6 T Shirt is pretty straightforward. It’s so easy to come up with a casual outfit for this t-shirt.
I simply wore a pair of navy chinos with this, along with a pair of white Adidas Stan Smith trainers. There’s not a lot to it, it’s really a t-shirt and chinos outfit and nothing more.
Verdict
I like the Patagonia P-6 T Shirt, it makes a good addition to my wardrobe and I’m sure I’ll get a lot of wear out of this over the next few years.
It’s definitely more of a casual t shirt, with the fit being regular and roomy, but mostly because of the large logo on the reverse. I’ll be wearing this as part of casual outfits this summer when out and about and there’s no need to dress up.
