I saw a preview of the Aimé Leon Dore Spring/Summer 18 collection a while back, and it’s made it’s way into the UK, and is available to buy now from stockists.
I’ve not covered much from the brand, and it could be a new one to some of you. In a nutshell, Aimé Leon Dore is a brand which was born in Queens New York and is a premium streetwear label. Key pieces are minimalist and clean in design, something which I’ve really embraced in the past few years. We’ve had a lot of Scandi-style from the European brands which I love, and this is another one from America which has a similar aesthetic to those.
For this season, there’s plenty of pieces which cover the pastel hue of the colour palette, something which I really like. There’s toned down colours, the staple black, white, navy and greys as well as some bright colours which really pop.
Here’s my edit and some of the pieces which caught my eye.
I saw that it was on Amazon Video so I decided that I’d watch it so I could tell people that I’d finally seen it. Yes, I am talking about the film Moonlight. I knew nothing about this film, other than everyone was talking about it, and all that controversy when it won the OCSAR for best picture when it beat La La Land.
So going into the film, I knew nothing about it at all, the plot, the characters or anything. In short, it’s a coming of age film split in 3 parts which is about a boy’s journey through his life, and his struggles. It’s about his sexuality, abuse he gets in his younger years, and dealing with his mother’s drug habit.
Style outfit posts are like buses, you don’t see one for ages, then two come along at once ? I’ve already done one style post this week with a Levi’s T Shirt, so I thought why not do another, with the other tee.
This one is the Levi’s tee I was looking at getting for quite a while, but held off and then finally bought it. It’s the Olympic Levi’s logo inspired from the 80’s, with a bit of a colour change.
Last year they brought this logo back, and used either tonal colours or the traditional navy blue and red.
This one uses a really nice light blue colour which I really love. I think it goes so well on the backdrop of the white tee. The flag is complete with the traditional red colour.
The ringer has the contrasting black collar line and cuffs. As I’ve already mentioned, the sizing is rather odd.
This style of tee seems to come with a more fitted cut to it, whereas the tops with the classic Levi’s housemark logo are a looser fit. So if you’re buying on online, keep that in mind.
I was having a look at the fragrances which I’ve featured on the blog, and I can’t believe that I’ve never given this one a feature of it’s own, it’s One Million from Paco Rabanne.
It was released back in 2008 which is when I got it, and so many other people did too. If this isn’t a favourite of many, it’s certainly one of those scents which has been bought by almost every man in the past 9 years.
I remember a girl saying that all men smell of 1 Million like it was a bad thing, because all guys smell the same. The good thing about that is guys were wearing it because it was such a nice fragrance.
It was heavily marketed, so a lot of the mainstream bought into it, and still do, which isn’t really a bad thing, after all it is a nice scent. But for the fragrance lovers like myself, it’s never a good thing to smell like someone else or go with the crowd, so I haven’t actually worn this in years.
I’ve had another go of this, the first time in I don’t know how long, and it hasn’t lost it’s touch. It still smells as good as ever. It’s inviting, and has just enough of a masculine kick to it to make it manly, while having a few lighter notes toning down the spicy nature just that right amount.
It’s definitely one for the night, out with the boys or with a girl, it’s perfect for Autumn or Winter, and the cooler conditions.
I can’t not write about the bottle…It’s obviously modelled on a gold bar, and it’s really striking and distinctive. It looks good on a shelf, and you’ll easily be able to pick it out.
Best season to wear – Autumn/Winter
Scent type – Spicy/Warm/Citrus
Age Recommendation – 18 – 30
Best Worn – Evening, Casual, Formal
Top Notes: Grapefruit, Mint, Blood orange Heart Notes: Rose, Cinnamon, Spice notes, Blond leather Base Notes: White woods, Amber, Patchouli

It seems like forever since I last posted a style type of post, so here is a style edit! As you know I recently got some Levi’s Ringer Tees and I love them. I haven’t really worn them until now, and I really love how they fit and feel.
Spring is in the air and 1980 Voguish has unveiled pieces from their latest collection for Spring going into the Summer. The season is all about the change in climate and unpredictable weather, the collection has some great transitional pieces getting you from season to season.
Key pieces include lightweight and heavy padded jackets, polo shirts and short sleeve shirts for the upcoming season.
I got this sweatshirt quite a few weeks ago, but to be honest I forgot all about it! It’s the 90’s throwback Nickelodeon sweatshirt, which features characters from some cartoons from the 90’s which were on Nickelodeon.
As a kid I used to watch Nickelodeon a lot; It was my channel of choice from around the ages of 11 – 15; Before that we had CITV and after we had the likes of Trouble, but for those years, it was all about Nick.
There were some pretty epic shows, from the likes of Sister Sister, Kenan and Kel, Sabrina, Clarissa, Alex Mack and how can I forget the best of them all, Renford Rejects. All of those were in the older years, but when I was younger, I loved cartoons (Who am I kidding, I still do!)
I got myself a couple of Easter presents, and got some of the new Levi’s ringer T shirts for Spring and Summer this year.
I really love ringer tees. They were popular in culture and fashion in the 70’s where they really made their mark, and were still big in the 80’s, but since then, they’ve never really been that hot in menswear fashion or life in general.
But I’ve always really like them, and never really owned one, and now I’ve got two. Both of these feature two of the Levi’s logos which have been gaining in popularity over the past year or so. You’ll remember I got two levi’s t-shirts last year, plain tees which have these logos.
