Nike have announced a new colourway of their Air Max 90 trainers for Latin Heritage Month. These are the Nike Air Max 90 Latinx trainers, and they look incredible!
This is what you need to know and how much they’ll cost.
It’s not a secret that I like 90’s fashion and style, and also trainers that offer something different in terms of design. I got myself a pair of Air Max 2 Atmos Light a few years back which are epic, and I feel the same about these trainers too.
They say that the design is inspired from the 90’s goalkeeper shirts that were so original. They were colourful, outrageous and generally speaking crazy in design. But they were something that I loved as a kid back in the 90s, and still do to this day.
So the design takes inspiration from those. A super colourful upper with black as a base colour, a white midsole and a black, yellow and blue outsole really make these trainers stand out.
They are made for Latin Heritage Month. They come with ‘Familia’ slogan on the side of the trainer, and are made with a recycled polyester.
I really love this technicolour design of the toe box and whole upper, they look so cool.
The tongue has the initials of a fictional football team, CAF which stands for Club Atletico Familia.
I would consider getting these, but I think they are in a similar vein to my Atmos trainers, so I am on the fence as to if I would personally buy them.
But if you do, then you can get them for £130 at Nike. They’re released on 29th September.
Special editions such as these trainers usually go one of two ways: They’ll either sell out fast, or they’ll be easy to pick up. It’s really hard to say.
I managed to get the Atmos trainers which weren’t so easy to get, but the Air Max 90 Love Letter that was released over Valentines Day was incredibly hard to get hold of (and I didn’t).
