Newcastle Carabao Cup Celebration Event Confirmed - It's On The Town Moor

**UPDATE**

Newcastle have now confirmed that there WILL be an open top bus parade through the city which will take place before the previously mentioned event on the town moor.

The celebration event will take place on the town moor from 1pm lasting until 8pm.

Everyone who has registered their interest will get a ticket for the event.

Here’s everything you need to know, with all the confirmed details.

Newcastle United Carabao Cup Open Top Bus Parade Details

On Monday evening it was confirmed by Newcastle that an open top bus parade would take place. This comes after the event on the town moor was announced to many people’s disappointment.

As of yet no times have been announced, but the route and road closures have been noted.

The route is as follows:

Starting at St. James’ Park, down Gallowgate and on to Percy Street (Haymarket) and on to the Great North Road to the Town Moor.

Road Closures

The roads which will be closed will be:

  • Great North Road
  • Barrack Road (From St. James’ Park to Gallowgate)
  • B1318 to the Great North Road

Key Information For Town Moor Event

  • This is a ticketed event, but is FREE.
  • NUFC Supporters can register their interest for the event from 1pm 21st March 2025
  • Mags & Mags+ members can register their interest for the event from 3pm 21st March 2025
  • General supporters can register their interest from 10AM Saturday 22nd March 2025
  • Registration is 1 per supporter number. Each adult can register 1 child.
  • You only have until midnight Sunday 23rd March to register your interest
  • This will be a dry event. You cannot bring alcohol and no alcohol will be sold
  • There is no parking, including for disabled
  • There will be road closures
  • The event will open at around 1.30PM and end at 8PM.
  • It’s standing only. There is no seating and you cannot bring a chair.
  • There will be toilets on site
  • Pushchairs/prams are not allowed

The event itself will be an all day event, with a main stage, DJ, live band, road to Wembley highlights and a full screening of the Cup final with special guests.

The team will then come on stage and lift the cup, and they’ll be a light show by SELA, with more event details to follow.

There’s a mention on the page that “there’s no cashpoints on site, and purchases can be made via cash, card or contactless”. So although the event is free, there’ll be things to buy, most likely food, drinks and merchandise.
