If you are an outdoors kind of person and like activities such as hiking, camping and biking, then American lifestyle brand Merrell will be a familiar name to you. For Autumn/Winter 2016 they’ve released their Heritage collection, perfect for the colder weather and season ahead.
The brand new Heritage range maintains the traditional Merrell craftsmanship which has been synonymous with the brand for over 30 years, and takes on a more hipster stylish approach, with each piece of footwear having it’s own individual styling and personality. I grabbed a pair of my favourite from the collection, which are called Solo.
First of all I love the bold colours and style. They’re 80’s inspired, and as we know retro style has been on trend for quite a while now and the vibrant colour really work well. The green suede upper is complimented with flashes of orange including the laces, side badge and branding on the tongue, with orange and white striping to the base and nylon mesh detailing which gives breathability. The comfort and durability there’s the Merrell air cushion along with an M Select™ GRIP outsole, which feels like it will give so much grip. Trying these on, they’re comfortable and snug, pretty light and really easy to wear.
The Solo are £80 and come in three colourways; Rosin (Green), Walnut and Wild Dove. You can get a pair over at Schuh here.
