I was having a browse around at what films to watch, and I came across The Boat That Rocked. It’s not a new film and was released in 2009 but I hadn’t seen it before, and the title can be a bit misleading because it could literally be about anything.
It’s written and directed by Richard Curtis and stars Bill Nighy among others, and is a comedy style film set in the 1960’s and is based on a true story surrounding pirate radio.
It was another film night, I checked out to see what there was to watch, and I came across a film which I almost forgot about, The Duff which came out in 2015. I remember seeing some clips of this and wanted to watch it ages ago but it slipped me by, but I finally watched it last night. I don’t really know how I feel about it.
I love teen films, they’re great, and that’s what this is. It has a lot to live up to with a lot of other good films in the genre which were made back in the late 90’s and early 00’s, but I thought this could be a good one.
What can I say about the Manchester City All Or Nothing Documentary which is on Amazon Prime? Incredible? Amazing? Brilliant? Yes, it’s all of them!
I’ve just finished watching all the episodes in All or Nothing, which is an Amazon Prime documentary which delves into Manchester City for the past year, showcasing everything about the club from the previous season. It is a brilliant watch, if you like football and even if you don’t support Man City, you’ll love watching this.
I hope you are well and are having a good bank holiday Monday. A while back I got a couple of pieces from H&M but since we’ve had a great Summer I’ve not needed to wear them, but now the weather has turned, I can get these out my wardrobe. I got a couple of pieces from H&M just for chilling out, a pair of sweat shorts along with a sweat shirt.
It probably looks familiar to you…Because I’ve already featured these in a fashion edit several weeks back, these are two pieces from the H&M menswear line from the Summer. I saw them and really like the lemon yellow colour, so had to get them.
For my latest film night I watched something which I had never heard of, a movie called The Florida Project. I watched a trailer for this a few weeks ago, and added it to my watch list for things to see in the near future. I finally did, and what a great film it is!
The Summer is almost over, but when I saw these light blue chinos from Mango Man, I couldn’t resist so I had to get them!
You might remember that last week I got some navy and black chinos, I also saw these but decided not to get them immediately as I may not have liked the style. But I did, and so I ended up getting this pair in light blue, which makes it 3 pairs of chinos from Mango Man!
I used to do a film night once a week, and since it’s been the Summer and we’ve had the World Cup and general Summer life, I haven’t sat down and watched anything new. I was browsing around Amazon Prime the other day and saw A Bad Moms Christmas, and since I liked the first one, really wanted to see this.
Are you ready for more Dwayne Johnson in sharp suits? One of my favourite shows, Ballers is back on Sky Atlantic, it’s into season 4 and the premiere is on tonight at 22:10.
If you’ve never seen it, where have you been!? Basically it’s a show which centres around the NFL and American Football, in particular Spencer Strasmore played by Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock, who’s a retired football player now trying to make it as a financial manager for the players.
I hope you’re all having a good week so far. This weekend you’ll know I went to the NE1 motor show which was great, and now I’m settling into another really, really busy week! It’s still warm, still T-shirt weather, but the rain has come back in recent times, however it’s still plenty warm enough to get away with wearing a tee without the need for jacket or anything else.
This weekend was the return of the NE1 Motor Show in Newcastle, and as with previous years, I decided I would go. It’s always a good time, and a real relaxed atmosphere for people who are proper petrol heads and can talk to others, or just for people who like to have a look at cars and see some real masterpieces.
This year there was a brand new car, the Bloodhound SSC which is a land speed record car. There was the same great stuff from previous years, including Paul Swift doing some car stunts on Hood Street, as well as the likes of Aston Martin, Mercedes and Lexus being present, and there was plenty of super cars such as Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, classic cars, American Muscle and the best of British.
