I was there on Thursday checking them out, and took my camera to get some good photos of what we have in Newcastle. I had a quick look a few weeks ago on a night which makes much better photos, but I didn’t have my camera at the time, only my phone. It was so cold, but so sunny, the enemy of the photographer 😀
Trust that the day I go there’s the sun blazing down on me…Better than the rain I guess. You can also get some interesting effects with the sun which can look cool.
Anyway if you’re familiar with Newcastle or if you’re not, the Christmas Markets are around the main section of the middle of the city, which is around Grey’s Monument, Grainger Street and Grey Street, which is close to Northumberland Street, the main shopping street.
Today marks the day where you can wear something festive! If you’ve check out my post on Christmas Jumpers there’s a few good ones you can get this year, and since I’ve already got so many, didn’t have to buy a new one for this year.
This year I have gone for my Santa Claws jumper which is mostly grey and red, and comes with the novelty knitted kitten with a Christmas hat. It is from a brand called Tipsy Elves, and I got this a couple of years ago.
Now is the time to get all festive and wear Xmas jumpers! We’ve got 10 days until Christmas Eve, so I’ll be wearing my festive knits on most days, in-keeping with the Christmas spirit.
I got this green jumper ages ago, and I don’t wear it all too often. It’s been so cold lately and I’ve been wearing a lot of knits, jumpers and sweatshirts, so decided to give this a wear. Usually I layer jumpers with t-shirts for a more casual look, but I decided that I’d try pairing it with a shirt. Then I realised if I paired it with my red check shirt, it would look like Hey Arnold style! 😀
Is it just me, or does it seem to get harder and harder to buy presents for guys these days? No matter if you’re shopping for your dad, brother, grandad, friend or even yourself, men are usually the most difficult to buy for.
My Christmas gift guide is here! Packed with ideas to help you get some best presents for the man in your life. In the guide I’ve picked out some things in a range of price points, so whether you’re looking for that ‘main’ present, or just a stocking filler, there’s something which you’ll be able to get.
I’ve got things that every guy needs covered; From grooming to aftershaves, tech and gadgets, some clothing and of course that all important food and drink.
How many items of clothing can you say you bought years ago, and not only still own today, but still wear? My Canada Goose jacket which I got is certainly one of them. I got this jacket way back in 2010, when this blog was starting to take it’s shape, and It was one of the most exciting things I wrote about back then.
It’s a brand renowned for it’s quality, and also infamous for being expensive. When I got my Canada Goose coat I was pretty certain that this would last me a long time. Not only in terms of style and fashion, but in terms of build quality, I knew that it was going to be my proper Winter coat for years to come.
How has my Chilliwack Bomber stacked up 8 years later? Pretty well? No, I think it’s a lot better than that.
What did you think of the Black Friday weekend, and did you get anything? I did pick up a couple of things, some for myself, and presents for others too. Also, how cold is it now!? I have dug my black hoodie out again and this time round tried layering it with my camel overcoat – Let me know what you think.
Did you have a good weekend? Mine was good, filled with drinks, good times and of course the football.
We went over to the new shipping container complex on the Gateshead side of the Quayside, By The River Brew Co. It’s been there a couple of months now, and has a few places to drink, as well as a lot of street food places. It’s a cool spot, similar to something like Box Park in London, and our very own Stack Newcastle.
Welcome to Good Burger home of the Good Burger, can I take your order?
Imagine my delight when I was scrolling on Amazon looking for a film to watch when I noticed that they had added Good Burger to Amazon Prime! As soon as I saw it was on, I had to make sure to watch it for film night.
If you’re from the Nickeloden generation which I am, then you’ll probably know all about the film, and have seen it. It stars Kenan and Kel, and it’s just like their show, which was a silly kind of teenage comedy kind of film.
I watched it so many times as a teen, but how would it stack up now, years later, as an adult?
For Film Night I was browsing around Amazon Prime as I usually do, and came across House Bunny, which kind of seemed familiar. It was a film from back in 2008, and I thought that I’d seen trailers of this a while ago, and thought it could have been good. I wanted to watch something light and funny, so I decided to see what it was all about, and gave it a watch.
I hope you had a good weekend. It feels kind of weird writing this on a Tuesday rather than a Monday, but that’s kind of what I’ve been doing lately…Last weekend feels like it was so far away!
It was freezing cold, Winter is definitely here! When I was wondering what to wear I was thinking about my overcoat, and even a scarf, but I thought that it wouldn’t actually be too cold, and didn’t bother; Although future nights out this Winter, I’ll be wrapping up with more layers!
