Hey guys, I hope you’ve had a good weekend so far!
For my latest film night, I wanted to watch something light and funny, but after looking around Amazon Prime, I couldn’t find something which I liked and wanted to watch, which I hadn’t seen before. I haven’t bought any Blu Rays/DVDs for ages, so looked to see what I had. I found The Goods: Live Hard Sell Hard which I haven’t seen in so long, so decided to watch that.
So this weekend it has been a really nice, chilled out and relaxed kind of affair. It was my birthday, and I wanted to just relax for most of the weekend. It was also Midsummer, which means drinking cider, and wearing what now seems to be my obligatory Midsummer t-shirt…Since I wear it once a year
I had a couple of drinks of cider, my favourite which is Rekorderlig. The flavours are so good, and I’ve featured the Rekorderlig botanicals on the blog before. If you’ve never tried them now is the perfect time. They go down really well in the Summer.
For my birthday I got some cool clothes, and so I’ll be posting the outfits and what I got over the coming days and weeks. There’s some nice pieces of menswear which I’ve wanted for a while, and since the sales are on, I’ve bought a few more things which I can’t wait to share.
Speaking of menswear…Fashion Friday. Some people asked where it was. I have tons of style and fashion related features for the summer which I need to do (like the latest floral shirt post) which I’ll be doing for a few weeks – So Fashion Friday aka the must have menswear for the week is taking a little break.
Even though the football season is over, since I am a footy fan, I always find some to watch. Yesterday I watched the Spain U21 vs Poland U21, and what a great match it was. Spain won 5-0 and were brilliant. I also caught the penalties in the women’s world cup with Norway & Australia. Later today England will be playing Cameroon, and tomorrow USA vs Spain.
Here’s a pic of my cake, a novelty cake of course which tasted really good. And then my socks, blue and yellow from Jollies, I really like these socks.
This weekend has been another good one if you like football…Just when you think the football season is over, it’s not 😀 There’s been some international football, even though it’s not a year for the Euros or World Cup, there’s been a few games on.
I have to say, I feel pretty well rested and chilled out today! It has started as one of those days which looks gloomy, but if you go outside it’s really warm. I might not get another chance to wear my dip dye sweatshirt again, so I’ve decided to pull it on since it’s a relaxed kind of day.
Last night was pretty good, there was football, boxing and music, aka my song of the summer which I will listen to at least once a day…More on that below
One of the coolest collaborations of the Summer launched a few days ago at Selfridges between the two iconic brands, Gumball 3000 famed for it’s car adventures stretching 3000 miles, and Kappa, one of the go-to retro sportswear brands of Italy. I was going to feature a few pieces in my last fashion Friday, but I thought the capsule collection deserved to shine in a post of it’s own.
Here’s some of the key pieces from the capsule collection which caught my eye.
If you’re not in the UK then I apologise, but we have a day off today, it’s the late May bank holiday. This weekend I have had a quiet and chilled out one, as is usually the case for Bank Holidays. Some call them boring, but I do love it when you can do absolutely nothing for a few days, it’s a great period of rest.
For around 3-4 years we’ve heard this term banded around, it’s the word millennial, and wherever you go you seem to hear it; On radio, TV, social media, magazines. But who are the real millennials, and what does the word actually mean.
Happy Saturday, It’s the start of another Bank Holiday weekend!
So a few days ago you may have caught on my Instagram stories that I was trying out some Rekorderlig Botanicals, and got some flavours which I haven’t previously had. If you’re unaware, Rekorderlig is a Swedish cider brand, I’ve featured them a fair bit on the blog over the years, and a while ago they released some new flavours, which they are calling botanicals.
I had a couple last year, but I found that they have some more flavours which I hadn’t tried. I thought I would get some bottles which would last me for a little while, they’ll come in perfect for the Summer, my birthday and of course the Swedish Midsummer (Midsummer’s eve falls on my birthday!).
The blackberry-violet-juniper was a flavour which I hadn’t tried before, so I was looking forward to giving that a go.
It seems like only a few weeks ago I heard about a new snooker game which was coming out, Snooker 19 which is officially licenced and the first “official” World Snooker game for a good while. I was excited about this, and couldn’t wait to get it, since it would be the first snooker game I’ve played since the Playstation/PS2 days, and first on the newer consoles.
It was released yesterday, and I got it! But how does this new game stack up to the games of old? Here’s my review.
I can’t believe I forgot to write about one of my favourite shows on Amazon which I watched at the back end of last year. I’m talking about the Spanish football documentary, Six Dreams.
As the name suggests, it follows the lives of 6 people involved in in the Spanish Premier League, La Liga, including 3 footballers. The main characters in the film are Iñaki Williams, Saúl Niñguez, Quique Cárcel, Amaia Gorostiza, Andrés Guardado and Eduardo Berizzo.
