It’s that time of year again, it’s another H&M guest designer collaboration. This year sees the Swedish brand team up with designer Giambattista Valli for a collab this Autumn.
It was released yesterday, and unusually there’s still plenty of options to buy.
There’s a few pieces which I like that caught my eye, so I’ve picked out my top pieces.
If you’re unfamiliar with H&M, their guest collaborations or Giambattista Valli, let me explain. For several years, the affordable fashion house has teamed up with a guest designer for a one-off collaboration.
This means that the regular high street shoppers can get their hands on some seriously high end designer clothing that might usually be out of reach. Some pieces are really affordable, with other’s commanding a high price, but a snip at what they might be from a stand alone designer collection.
Over the years there’s been a few collaborations, and I’ve been lucky enough to grab some pieces. There was 2 different Versace collabs, I managed to grab quite a few things. Then there was some pieces from Alexander Wang and Marni, and for the others, well I wasn’t so lucky.
However, it’s usually quite a fight to get something. Almost always the website crashes, everything sells out super quick, and everyone usually takes to social media to complain.
However the H&M x Giambattista Valli still has good availability (as of now!) so I decided to showcase some pieces from the collection which I like.
The top picture has a couple of hoodies and a cashmere blend jumper. The first hoodie is in black and is an easy to wear classic piece, with simple branding to the front. The next two pieces are a hoodie and cashmere blend knit respectively. They both feature leopard print styles, which really stand out.
Next up I have picked out a couple of jackets and a tee. The first jacket is a bomber pile lined jacket in white and black. A red leather jacket is next, and this really is a statement piece. Lastly there’s a logo black tee.
Finally I’ve picked out more easy to wear pieces. A hoodie and two T-shirts. First up are the hoodie and T-shirt, which are both in light pink. In the middle there’s a repeat pattern tee in black. All of these are easy to wear pieces which will show off that you’ve got into the collab, without having the more outlandish designs which may not be to your liking.
The cheapest items start at £25, with hoodies coming in at £50 and the leather jacket being a reasonable £200.
What do you think of H&M’s collaboration this year? Did you manage to get any pieces?
