New In My Wardrobe: Grey Roll Neck Jumper From H&M

I’ve gone and got myself yet another roll neck!

It’s so weird that only a couple of years ago I actually disliked this style of jumper, and just last Winter bought my first one. Now I’ve got at least 5 of them, in a range of different colours. The ones I’ve got are from ASOS and Uniqlo, and when I saw this one from H&M which was on offer, I had to have it.

It’s odd buying something for myself just before Christmas; I’ll get stuff for the day, and I can also buy things after Christmas, so it’s strange buying things for yourself just before Christmas, but it seems to be something I do all the time 😀

For colours I’ve already got a black, off white, navy and cream coloured roll neck top, and there’s one staple colour I was missing; Grey. I used to hate grey as a colour, I thought it was pretty boring, but now I’ve got more into minimalist style, I really love the basic staple colours.

When it comes to grey, there are so many shades which can vary. Maybe not 50 shades, but at least 3; Light, mid and dark, all of which offer a variation on colour and what you can pair with them.

This roll neck is a light-mid grey colour, and it’s a pretty solid colour rather than being a heather or ‘flecked’ which I prefer, I think it looks smarter. It’s a colour I really like, and I’ve been looking at other things in this colour, mostly sweatshirts, but haven’t been able to find the exact one which I love.

Then I came across this. I like the roll-neck style, I like the colour, H&M usually do good stuff and the price was good, so it was a big win all round. Rather than it being wool, it’s made from 100% cotton which is more durable than the fine merino wool which I’ve got.

Having said that, the cotton is quite fine, in comparison to the Uniqlo cotton roll neck, it’s not as thick and luxurious, but take nothing away from this jumper, it is really nice, but a different type and weight of cotton.

I’ll look forward to pairing up some things and putting together an outfit post with this jumper. It was £14 which I think is definitely worth it.

I promise this will be my last roll neck…For this Winter at least 😉
