It’s no joke, and it’s coming soon. That’s the Greggs x Primark Collab. Yes Greggs the bakery and Primark the cheap clothing retailer have came together to form a collaboration of their own, with clothing being released soon.
Unusual Collabs have been the hottest thing in recent years. We’ve seen the likes of Off-White and IKEA as well as other high end fashion brands. Uniqlo collaborated with McDonalds, and even Lidl released a pair of trainers.
High end fashion brands coming together with other brands has been embraced by the masses, especially in streewear circles. But now we have the people’s British fast food of choice, Greggs, teaming up with one of the favourites of the British-Irish high street fashion brands, Primark.
There will be clothing released on 19th February in selected Primark stores, but that’s all that’s known for now.
The hoodie in the main image was released, which shows a hoodie with the Greggs logo and slogan “It’s a pastry thing” printed on the sleeve.
It will be interesting to see how this collab and release turns out. It could be a sell out success, with pieces being coveted and hard to get. Or the tastemakers may decide that this collab is not one for them.
We’ll see soon enough when the collection is released.
It’s hard to say anything about this, since the price of the clothing or even the clothing itself is currently unknown. One thing is for sure, it’s an interesting collaboration for 2022.
