GOLF WANG x Levi’s 501 Jeans & Jacket Collaboration

Today is Levi’s 501 day, and GOLF WANG has collaborated with the infamous denim brand to unveil two pieces of stand out clothing.

These are a pair of 501 jeans along with a trucker jacket.

As you can see, both are bold pieces, sporting a colourful rainbow like pattern by the way of polka dots. The base colour of both the jeans and the jacket is a ecru off-white type of colour, with a minimalist design approach.

The trucker jacket is completely clean, with the jeans sporting the GOLF logo to the back pocket.

If you’re unfamiliar with GOLF WANG, it is a brand which was started back in 2011 by musician Tyler The Creator. The brand has a few collaborations under it’s belt, and is known for it’s bright and colourful designs.

I really love the look of both of these pieces. Despite the colourful nature of both, they are tastefully done. It would be difficult for someone to pull off such pieces, but if you can, they’re definitely head turning.

You can get these from tomorrow, although it’s not clear if they will be available in the UK.

What are your thoughts on these?

I would kind of like them as a statement piece, you would really have to be careful with what you wore with them, and it would likely be something very plain and basic, such as a white T Shirt. I probably wouldn’t wear both pieces together, and break each of them up to tone down an outfit.

The 501 jeans are a slouchy fit, something I am not a fan of, and these days prefer a slim fit. The trucker jackets Levi’s do are very good.

If you like street wear pieces, either one of these could serve as something which really takes your outfit to another level.
