So I was having a look around for some shorts for this summer, and after a good look around I found a couple of pair at H&M. I do not usually like spending a lot of money on shorts, primarily because I hardly wear them, so I don’t want to spend fortunes on a lot of pairs of shorts.
I think that sweat shorts are big this summer, and I have been looking at getting a couple of pair. H&M have some really good ones, so I went and had a look, and bought a few pair. They are good quality and a good fit, and they come in a few different colours. I picked up some summer red, navy, grey and black. I also got a pair of swim shorts with a check pattern which are also good for the summer. The sweat shorts are only £8 a pair, and I think the swim shorts were £15.
I am really into nautical striped T-Shirts for the summer, and I have been looking around for one which I really like. There has been a couple, and I found this one from H&M. It has a chest pocket which is not exactly what I was looking for, but it’s still cool and is what I was looking for…I would also like a one in reverse, i.e. navy with thin white stripes. This was £10.
I now have a few pair of white chinos and jeans, and I saw these for £15 and thought one more pair couldn’t hurt 😛 They are really soft and nice slim fitting, and will work well with the tee I bought and a few other pieces I have. Take a look here to see how I style white jeans.
A few weeks ago I wrote about the new Ugg for men shoes which are available to buy, and they have proven to be so popular. I decided to get myself a pair of the Bowmore style, and I was lucky to get them!
Summer is here and one of the hottest summer fashion tips is ripped jeans. I really do like this trend, it really creates an edge to your outfit and can liven up your denim wardrobe by getting a pair or two of the ripped style.
Gucci have released their G-Timeless collection of watches for men, and I think that they look pretty sweet! They look premium as you would expect from a brand like Gucci, and come in a variety of specifications, to suit your own personal requirements.
One fashion brand which optimises summer fashion is Desigual. I really love the clothing which they do, it’s always different and bold, and definitely not boring. If you’re not too familiar with them, they are a Spanish clothing label with a real focus on fun prints with a lot of colour. If you’ve ever been to Barcelona you will of certainly seen one of their cool stores; I went in one when I was last year and they’re as cool as the clothing.
I am terrible at buying shoes! When I was younger I really hated to wear shoes, and that mentality has really stuck with me for all of my life. I love casual footwear, My Converse collection is now huge, and I have bought three pair of Air Max in the last 2 years. Shoes however are something I have always really hate buying, probably because most of my life I have hated to wear them. I do however wear them on any kind of formal occasion, even semi-formal like a night out; Since I was a kid I have always worn formal footwear on a Friday or Saturday night out; It’s just the done thing in my opinion 😀
I am getting older, and with that a new appreciation of shoes, both a smart casual shoe and the traditional formal styles of shoes. You will always need a formal shoe, whether it’s going to be for work everyday, or for those occasions where you need to dress up and the super casual trainers just don’t work. I’ve needed a new pair for a while, and looked around and thought about brogues, but I’ve decided to stick with my preferred style and gone for a derby again, and once again from Kurt Geiger.
I really like these, they are smart and formal, classic black and are slightly wider than my previous pair I got a long time ago. They have faux-perforation detailing around the back, with the front top having some stitching detailing. The bottoms feel quite grippy, which is all-important when you’re out on an icy night in the winter 😛
I’ve written about this fashion trend before, but I thought since it was 2015 I would give it a bit of a reboot. I am talking about cricket jumpers in fashion. I really like this and have done for a number of years. They work well in the cooler months of the Spring and Autumn, and since we’re right in Spring with crisp weather, there’s no better time to talk about them.Read More
Whether you’re a Newcastle night out veteran, you’re new to going out or you’re up here in Newcastle out for a good time, the dress code is probably something you’re thinking about.
It’s something to consider, however there is no need to stress out about what to wear.
If you’re going out to pubs, bars, clubs or all three, Newcastle has a fairly casual dress code, as long as you look presentable and you’re not falling all over drunk.
Taking inspiration from the mainline range, Ted Baker has unveiled it’s T for Tall collection for men, teaming up once again with swimming champ, Mark Foster. The collection features key pieces for this summer, from smart casual to tailored pieces, all cut specifically to fit the 6’3″ – 6’6″ man. We say time and again that one of the most important aspects of clothing and fashion is the fit, this season Ted Baker comes with key pieces including trademark floral prints, oversize checks and pattern knits, as well as more toned down contemporary styles.
As you will know if you are a regular reader of my blog, I went to Icelandin the Autumn of last year. It’s a great place, with a big variety of things to do, and with each different type of activity, different clothing may be required, and it will also depend on what time of the year you’re going.
Will you be spending more time in the city of Reykjavik or are you getting a secluded cabin out in the countryside? Packing the right things can be challenging, especially when you’re going somewhere for the first time.
