A lot of the time football and fashion does not mix well, but when a lot of people start talking about it, you know that it’s going to be good. Nike released a brand new AIK Black edition shirt, with an all black design. The shirt comes black on black, with the Nike swoosh, badge and special 1891 logo to the front of the shirt, all done in a tonal black look.
It’s such a sad time, I’ve got my last ever Cheap Monday jeans.
As you might have read here the other week, Cheap Monday is no more. The brand is being discontinued, so when the upcoming season is finished, there’ll be no more. This is sad for me because I love the brand, they make some great jeans and other clothing, and it’s generally a good high street fashion brand.
It’s one of those clothing labels which I’ve written about since almost the start of this blog, and continued to do so over the years…It feels like just yesterday, however it’s all came to an end. I had to get myself one last pair of denim before I was unable to, so I got my favourite wash in my favourite fit.
Happy Monday to you. I’ve got a couple of things still to write about which I’ve got from the January sales, and first up is a couple of things I got from END.
When it comes to style if you’re stuck a lot of people will say, when in doubt, go black, and that’s what I’ve done in my all black choices.
First up is a NN07 No Nationality T Shirt. As you’ll probably know if you’re a regular reader, I love Scandinavian style, it’s become popular in recent times but I’ve been a real lover of it along with the fashion and the brands for a long time.
I’ve featured NN07 aka No Nationality a few times on the blog before, but this is my first piece I’ve picked up. It’s one of their minimal and simple tees, with the branding to the front.
The T-shirt itself is made from Pima cotton, which you’ll know if you’ve read my T-shirt guide is a really soft type of cotton. The fit is also good, and there’s no doubt it will feature in an outfit sometime in the future which you’ll see here.
Is there anything I can say about Nudie Jeans which I’ve never said already? The thing about denim is this; I have a huge collection of jeans, the vast majority are high end and top quality, and it’s got kind of crazy.
I sort of decided that I’d try limit myself to 1 pair of high end denim (or any jeans) a year, which I’ve already broke since I got my Kenzo jeans too.
I’ve already got a pair of black selvedge from Nudie, when are incredible quality and have stood the test of time like I thought they would. I usually save these for going out for an occasion, so I wanted to try more black jeans outfits for everyday wear, and of course Nudie was the brand to go for.
I know the fit, I know they’re quality, and since it was the sale, it was a really good price. I got these cold wash black jeans, they’re the Grim Tim fit which is my preferred fit. If you’re unfamiliar, they’re a slim leg with a button fly, so in terms of style they’re exactly the jeans I want.
Last year I got a pair of Selvedge dry denim indigo high end jeans from them, with these being similar but black, and much softer denim which is what I wanted this time round.
It’s a new year, and for me, that means new shoes. When it comes to shoes I now have quite a collection, and have really got into shoes in recent years. I love all of the shoes I own, they are all from great high street brands and have served me proud.
However for this year, I decided to treat myself, and go for something more high end, and went for the Aldwych shoes from the Loake 1880 range.
When it comes to a gentleman’s style, I think there’s a few essentials a guy should have. There’s a good watch, a well-fitted suit, a good winter coat and then there’s a few pairs of shoes you need.
This is my first foray into premium footwear, so I have been looking around for quite a few months. I’ve been soaking in all the information, checking out all the brands, styles and shoemakers out there, and one of the stand out decided on getting a pair of Loake shoes.
It’s so weird that only a couple of years ago I actually disliked this style of jumper, and just last Winter bought my first one. Now I’ve got at least 5 of them, in a range of different colours. The ones I’ve got are from ASOS and Uniqlo, and when I saw this one from H&M which was on offer, I had to have it.
Have you ever thought about wearing a denim jacket in the Autumn or Winter?
For me, this is a big no-no. I have always considered the denim jacket a Summer item, or transitioning from Spring to Summer. Jean jackets are lightweight, and great for throwing over a tee in the Summer.
But what if you want to wear one in the Winter? Can you wear a denim jacket in Winter? Are they style rules, and how can you style it?
One word – Layering.
Check out the whole outfit below and see how I’ve styled it.
Was there a better decade than the 90’s? I don’t think so! It was a time for fun-loving people, the 1990s had so much going for it, the music, pop culture and of course the fashion. Whether you’re planning on throwing a 90’s party or you’re going to one, you might be thinking what outfit to wear.
Luckily the trends of the nineties have made a comeback, and the style is as popular as ever.
There was so much style back in the day, and lots of different outfits which were worn in the decade, it really is up to you what you choose to put on, but there’s a couple of different styles you can go for.
For men, the biggest trends in 90s style were: double denim, bright florescent colours, brands and logos, oversized clothing, tracksuits and sports wear. Of course not all of these were worn at once, it really depended on your own personal preference
Whether you were into rave culture, Brit Pop, Grunge, Rock, Football there was a particular trend which you and your friends would be wearing.
Here’s everything you need to know about 90’s trends, and some 90’s outfit ideas for the party.
So I’ve not featured any Nike Air Max on the blog for quite a while, but in the space of a couple of days, I saw 2 pair which really stood out, and I love them both. The Atmos x Air Max2 Light and the Air Max Plus 97 Miami Vice.
First up I’ll have to talk about the Atmos x Air Max2 Light. They are possibly the most colourful Air Max I’ve seen, and they are one of those designs which you’re either going to really hate or love. I have to say, I do love them!
Want a few simple ways to upgrade your style but don’t know where to start?
If you’re looking to up your style game with minimal effort and cost, you may be able to do it with clothing and accessories you already have in your wardrobe.
Everyone always says money can’t buy style, which is true, but most of those who are spending money also get the small details right, which is something anyone can do, with or without spending their cash.
The good thing is that it does not require you to already own a mountain of clothing, it’s all about using what you’ve already got, and making a couple of changes or additions which could really give your outfits an upgrade.
Small details are something which people notice, they’re often very subtle and almost look unintentional, but everyone who knows, knows that it’s deliberate.
Here’s a few simple style tips you can use in your every day look to get you looking like a better, more stylish guy.
There’s no real secret that Summer is my favourite season, but when it comes to clothing and dressing, Autumn is right up there with the best time to buy and wear clothing. Why? It’s because it seems like there’s so much more choice to wear, and of course layering helps too.
There’s already plenty of jumpers for this season, but H&M have recently released some more brilliant clothes for your Autumn and Winter wardrobe, with it’s H&M Edition line having you covered for all your knitwear.
They have a huge collection of jumpers, cardigans, pull overs and all kinds of jumpers you could possibly want, sporting a wide range of colours to brighten up, or tone down your look.
