Fashion & Lifestyle Monthly Blog Recap: January 2023

A new feature I am trying for this year is the fashion and lifestyle monthly blog recap.

It’s basically what it says on the tin, a recap of what’s happened this month, in particularly what I’ve been talking about on the blog.

If you’ve missed anything it will be in here, with a handy link to go in depth.

Not only was January a brand new month, but it was the start of a brand new year, 2023. As usual I have been talking about a lot of things I got over Christmas, in particular some fragrances and clothes.

Here’s what I was talking about in January 2023.

Latest Trainer Releases For January 2023

There were a few cool pairs of trainers released in January, I featured my top picks. The one which stood out to me the most were the Nike Air Max 97 Gold Bullet which I think look really cool.

Other trainers included a whole host of Air Jordans which came in a number of colourways.

Boss Bottled Parfum Review

First fragrance review of the year was that of Boss Bottled Parfum. A really nice fragrance which is different to both the EDT and EDP versions, it’s one which I wanted to get.

It’s a masculine scent with a subtle touch of woody, leather and orange-citrus notes. Check out the full Boss Bottled Parfum Review here.

H&M Blank Staples In Beige

My first but not last review of clothing and it’s another co ords set. It’s my much loved H&M Blank Staples set, this time in beige.

I went for a zip up hoodie to pair with the joggers. Winter is all about keeping warm and comfy casual clothing has been my go to for a few years now.

Prada Luna Rossa Ocean Review

When I tried Prada Luna Rossa Ocean I really liked it, so had to get it over Christmas. It’s an aquatic style of scent with a bit of fresh spicy kick to it.

I get some salty types of vibes to this one with aquatic notes. It lives up to it’s name, and is a nice fresh scent for this year and beyond.

H&M Blank Staples In Burgundy

My 2nd drop of H&M Blank Staples and this time round they’re in burgundy. It’s a colour I don’t own much of, so decided to invest in it for yet another set of comfortable sweats to keep me going through the winter.

Photography: Light Trails In Newcastle

Something I’ve always wanted to try was some light trail photography. I eventually got out there in my city Newcastle to take some, and was happy with the way they came out.

I have a lot to learn, but these were my first light trails and I’m pretty happy with how they turned out. It was good fun to get out there and take some photos in the evening.

Gucci Intense Oud Review

My favourite fragrance which I have bought for a long time, Gucci Intense Oud is simply stunning. It smells so good, classy, seductive, inviting, and everything you could want in a men’s scent.

I prefer to wear this one on a night, the warm nature of this one makes it more of an evening scent in my view.

What To Wear On Valentines Day

With Valentines Day coming up, I had to give out some advise on how to dress in my Valentines Day Outfits For Men post. I go into the different dress codes including smart, restaurant attire and more casual dates such as the cinema or bowling.

Definitely worth a read.

And that’s what’s been covered on the blog in the past month.

There’s plenty of things which has happened which I have not blogged about, such as watching The Last Of Us on TV. It’s a brand new show on SKY Atalantic, so if you’re looking to binge watch something and haven’t seen it yet, it’s worth a watch.

Newcastle also booked their place in the Carabao Cup Final, beating Southampton 2-1 on the night for a 3-1 win on aggregate. It’s the first cup final since 1999, and they’ll play Man Utd at Wembley on 26th February.
