So I’ve not featured any Nike Air Max on the blog for quite a while, but in the space of a couple of days, I saw 2 pair which really stood out, and I love them both. The Atmos x Air Max2 Light and the Air Max Plus 97 Miami Vice.
First up I’ll have to talk about the Atmos x Air Max2 Light. They are possibly the most colourful Air Max I’ve seen, and they are one of those designs which you’re either going to really hate or love. I have to say, I do love them!
Yes, I went ahead and got a pair of white trainers! With so many options available I picked out the limited edition Air Max Jewel, bought them, and then cancelled them! π
Then I found a pair of Air Max 1 Ultra 2.0 which were in the sales, and thought I better get these quick! Then Nike reduced them further so I ended up paying more than I should have! ?
My story of white trainers for Summer… I haven’t really had any. I did buy some Adidas Superstar trainers several years ago, and I never really wore them. I still have them, and they look to have become faulty, with the toecap going a creamy-yellow colour, so I don’t really wear them.
I’m going to create a white trainer guide for the blog as I do like white trainers. I was going to buy a pair last Summer but couldn’t decide which pair to get, and ended up getting none.
Now I have taken the plunge and opted for a pair of Air Max, the Air Max 1 Ultra which I really like.
First of all I have to talk about the trainers I didn’t buy. The Air Max 1 Jewel Black Diamond…I think these look so good and I did actually go through and buy them, and after thinking about it, decided to cancel the order.
Why? Well because they’re made of hard leather.
I’ve never tried them, but I think that the hard leather may not be too comfortable, especially in the heat of the Summer, and are undoubtedly heavier than the Ultras.
The second pair of trainers I considered, and may also end up getting as a secondary pair, are a pair of Adidas Stan Smith’s. Yes, I know they’re a similar hard leather, but if I get a pair I’ll only be wearing them now and again, so for that comfort can take a back seat.
So let’s me tell you about the pair I did end up getting, the Air Max 1 Ultra 2.0. They’re light and breathable, bright white and all white, including the Iconic swoosh, which is something I was looking for.
I got a pair of the Ultra Moire trainers a couple of years back and love how light and comfortable they are, so picking out this pair as a white pair was a really easy decision.
The mesh is really lightweight and works well with a textile upper, the fit is quite snug around the sides and the width of the trainers, but I’m used to that from the Ultra Moire.
So I’ve finally joined the white trainer club π I may also get a pair of Adidas Original Stan Smith in the near future too, or another ‘smarter’ pair of white trainers. But for now, I will enjoy these π
When it comes to creating an outfit using these white air max, there’s so many things which can be worn.
A light pair of chinos would work, as would a pair of indigo denim. For the ultimate in contrast, wearing black jeans with these white trainers looks really cool. The black and white are complete contrasts with each other, so both shine when wearing them together.
Let me know what you think of these, or if you have any other recommendations for all white trainers for this season let me know.

If you didn’t know, 26th March is Air Max Day.Β For the past couple of years I have got on board with it, my Air Max Day 2015 and Air Max Day 2014 posts have a lot in them, and for a couple of years I’ve got myself a pair of Air Max for the day. As a kid Nike Air Max were the trainers to have, so most people had them, including myself. I have no idea how many of these trainers I have owned over the years, but I got out of the trend in my early 20’s, and only recently got myself a few pairs, only 2 or 3 years ago.
Since then I’ve gone on and got a few really nice pair, as you can see here. This year I did not bother getting any, because I think I have enough (for now, haha!). I have all the bases covered with my Air Max 1, Air Max 90, Air Max 95 and Air Max 1 Ultra Moire, I really love them all.

I have been writing this blog for years now, and I rarely shoot photos on locations, which I should really start doing a lot more. I live in Newcastle, it’s an amazing city, it has so many great buildings and cityscapes, there’s plenty of cool backdrops for creating some amazing images, not to mention it’s close by to a couple of beaches too!
I blogged about the brand new Nike Air Max Ultra Moire last month when they came out, and I fell in love with them.Β In fact I love them so much that I’ve just got myself a pair! π
They were my fashion tip for the month, a great contemporary design from Nike in the Air Max 1 silhouette. They are so nice, sleek, minimal and all round cool stylish trainers from Nike.
One of the first designs they’ve dropped this year, it’s going to be hard to find a nicer pair.
The black and white in the design compliments the other so well, trainers like Air Max are usually really casual and sporty, but you could almost wear these in a more smart-casual look.
The upper is perforated black, with the lower being white. They are so clean I almost don’t want to wear them in this winter, and save them for the milder months π

I needed some dark coloured trainers, so the obvious colour is black, and wanted something super smart, but also really comfortable for walking round in for when I am in Reykjavik, if I actually get there! π . I love my Air Max 1 which I got earlier this year, I love the colour, but they can get dirty easily, and I want something more neutral and dark.
I am back into Nike Air Max, like I was as a kid, and I love these Air Max 90 trainers. They are so minimal, sleek and unnoticeable! I could probably even wear them on a night out and they’d go pretty unnoticed. I still like my Converse, but if you’ve ever walked a lot in Converse you’ll know they aren’t the greatest trainers for walking long distances for long periods of time. Air Max are so comfortable, and these are really smart and stylish. They seem more durable than the Air Max 95 because of the construction, but are still breathable and are slightly narrower than the 95’s.
If I ever need some smart looking trainers for something low key, I have these beauties π
I am back on the Air Max horse π Today is Air Max Day, and what better way to celebrate it than getting a brand new pair of Air Max. I am taking it back to the beginning, and got the infamous old school and original style, the Air Max 1.
I love my Converse collection, but I have decided that I would mix things up a bit and a pair of Air Max. I have a pair for running, however they are old and tired and are in really bad condition, I only use them for running and have done for a long time. For the past few years I have bought so many pair of Converse, and before that KSWISS, with the odd pair of Adidas in between. Now I have a fresh pair of Air Max, and I love them.
I love this colour, a nice light smart colour which is not too boring and dull, but not overpowering and bright. They come with the customary and iconic air bubble to the side, a classic design.
What do you think? What are your favourite pair of Air Max?
