It’s a t-shirt that’s been on Michael 84 before, I wrote about this Adidas collection when it was released, and now I have bought myself one of the Adicolor t-shirts.
It’s such a good t-shirt, giving some 90’s vibes, and here’s everything you need to know.
A while back Adidas released some Adicolor and Adibreak clothing, including this t-shirt. It comes in a range of colours, with the stand out colour for me being black.
As already mentioned, I got this Adicolor t-shirt and the Adibreak jersey a while back, and this will focus on the t-shirt.
This is a polyester t-shirt, which is something I like in the summer. Polyester has it’s place in clothing, and wearing something to keep you cool and keep the sweat off is they key to this fabric.
When it comes to dressing for the heat, I usually prefer this type of material. It feels much more comfortable to wear, and just makes you feel cooler.
The t-shirt material is actually quite thick, thicker than a standard football polyester shirt, which gives it a higher quality feel to it.
If you’re around the same age as me, you’ll have seen this t-shirt and design before. I already owned this t-shirt in the mid-to-late 90’s, all with just one noticeable difference.
On my original 90’s top, the Adidas wording logo was made of flock. That’s a velvet, velour type of material that’s quite raised.
On this version of the tee, it’s vinyl printed. This doesn’t make much difference, but it is different, but you’d only know that owning the original.
The Fit
When it comes to the fit, it is quite baggy. I got my usual size and it’s baggy, and that’s not a bad thing.
When I want to wear something to relax in, I prefer a laid back relaxed fit. That’s exactly what this is. The sleeves are big and long, the body of the shirt is also quite big too.
If you’re getting this, I’d go for your usual size, and it should fit albeit a more relaxed fit.
Outfit
When it comes to creating an outfit with this t-shirt, the limits are pretty much endless. It’s a casual t-shirt, so wearing shorts, chinos or jeans are the go to options.
For this outfit I have gone with some sand beige colour chinos with the black Adidas T Shirt. I think the contrast makes each piece stand out, but it looks quite toned down and works well together.
For footwear, I’d go with some sports trainers, to continue the sporty aesthetic of the outfit.
Overall, this is a really good t-shirt, and I’ll look forward to wearing it for a long time.
