The Stan Smith and Superstar have had so much love since they’ve been brought back in recent times, and now it’s the turn of the infamous Gazelle, which has been re-launched by Adidas Originals this week.
The iconic design keeps it’s key features and silhouette which had so much love from the 90’s, and is a true one-to-one reproduction of the ’91 edition. I remember very well owning a pair of the Gazelles, which were possibly one of my favourites from the Adidas lines of trainers in the 90’s.
The Gazelle’s were worn and loved by a diverse set of subcultures, from Reggae to Hip Hop, Grunge, Skate and Britpop, and these style tribes are at the heart of the trainers.
Sticking to the classics, they have a pigskin leather upper, with synthetic trademark Adidas three stripe in a contrasting colour, rubber outsole, Debossed Trefoil logo on the tongue and Trefoil logo on the heel tab.
You can pick up a pair from Adidas for £74.99, and are available in a few colours, with more dropping throughout the Summer. Check them out over at Adidas.
I bought a pair! Check out my Adidas Gazelle Trainer review to see what I think of these trainers.
