Adidas Adibreak Mesh Jersey Outfit By Michael 84

One of my favourite ever pieces of Adidas clothing has to be this Adidas Adibreak jersey, or as I call it the Adidas Originals Mesh Jersey.

I had an original back in the late 90’s, and when I saw that they reissued these, I knew I had to get one.

A while back I bought this adibreak jersey with an adicolour t-shirt, and this is everything you need to know about it.

Details

So if you had the original back in the 90’s, you’re probably wondering how it stacks up to that. Here’s the deal.

I would say that it’s 90% the same, apart from the logo to the back. The original logo on the back of the top was much bigger, with this one being smaller.

I would have preferred a bigger logo, but this is clearly a design choice by Adidas for this new creation.

Other than that, it’s the same.

The fit and feel of the top is retained, and as you’ll know, it was good.

It has the tail to the back, the boxy fit, the mesh and all the detailing stitched and appliqued onto the shirt well.

The front Adidas badge is embroidered on, with the back being vinyl printed.

The neckline is elasticated, giving it a really nice fit, and the three colours of navy, white and yellow work well.

The Fit

The fit is kind of a regular fit, but it’s strange. The tail on the back makes the back of the shirt longer, with the front fairly short, I would say just a tad shorter than a regular shirt.

The sleeves are oversized, very roomy but in terms of length around the same as a normal t-shirt.

I actually think that the Adicolour t-shirt has a much more loose fit.

If I wanted to get the full on oversized fit for this top, I would size up.

It is however boxy and roomy, so it’s not like it’s small, just not as oversized as I initially thought.

Outfit

There’s no doubt that this is a casual outfit, so pairing this up with a pair of shorts, dark denim or chinos would be the go to.

In my outfit here, I am wearing a pair of selvedge black jeans along with the jersey. I think the colour combination works well, and both pieces compliment each other well.

In terms of footwear, sports trainers would be the perfect pairing for this top.

Overall I am so pleased with this Adibreak Adidas jersey. It has all of the hallmarks of the original from the 90’s, and now I finally have another one as I did as a kid.
