The World Cup is only week’s away, and it’s the first ever appearance for Iceland in the big competition. On the field they’ve got a tough group, having to contend with Argentina, Nigeria and Croatia, and off the field 66 Degrees North has released a capsule collection in time for the tournament.
The collection consists of hoodies, T-shirts, tracksuits, shorts and accessories including hat, bumbag, scarf and bag.
The 1947 range has the over size slogan print, “Waiting for the World Cup since 1947”, a nod to when the men’s football team was founded. There’s two colours of T-shirts available, blue and white, both colours synonymous with the Icelandic team. There’s also a hoodie in the 1947 collection. The tees are €40 with the hooded top being €80.
More tees are available, with the more football looking shirts coming in blue and white colouring, with football-esque designs including sponsor logos and badge, with shorts available to complete the look.
The tracksuit comes with a classic track jacket style, with taping down the arms of the jacket and a 66 Degrees North logo to the front, and matching tracksuit bottoms. These come in at €125 for the jacket, with the bottoms costing €100. There’s another football shirt, which comes with a distinctive pattern to the front with the main body of the shirt being blue.
In 2016 Iceland celebrated as they qualified for the Euros for the first time in their history, and everyone will remember them beating England in the competition. If you’re supporting Iceland for the World Cup, you can pick up these from 66 Degrees North online. How far will Iceland go in their first ever World Cup?
